Propolis is an extremely useful bee product, widely used in medicine and cosmetics.
Propolis, also known as bee glue, is a mixture of wax, resin and pollen from the flowers or buds of plants. Once in the digestive tract of bees, this mixture is enriched with enzymes and undergoes lactic acid fermentation.

Propolis contains more than 300 ingredients of organic (bee secretion, plant components, essential oils, tannins, aromatic substances, vitamins A, B, C, D, E and P) and inorganic (mineral elements) origin.

Of the fourteen minerals needed by the human body, propolis contains all of them except sulfur. Like royal jelly and bee pollen, propolis also contains a number of unknown compounds that work together in sync to create a perfectly balanced, nutrient. It also contains 16 types of amino acids.
